ABOUT DUROMETER B SCALE
Shore Durometer A Scale is good, but it does not cover the entire range of skate wheel hardness and is very limited because the scale goes from 1 to 100 and anything over A 95A does not compute accurately.
Shore Durometer B Scale is perfect for skate wheels because:
It is very similar to the A Scale, but reads 20 points lower, allowing the useful scale to be extended by 20 points, which covers the entire hardness range of skate wheels in one scale. It uses the same soft spring as the A Gauge, but the conical gauge needle of the D Scale.
Because the spring is soft, the B Scale gauge needle does not puncture the skin of the wheel surface, resulting in the same reliable reading as the A Scale does.
Shore Durometer D Scale is designed for hard rubbers and rock hard urethanes, not soft, bouncy urethanes that are used in skate wheels. It has a very stiff spring behind its sharp conical needle and often punctures the skin of the wheel being measured, this resulting in 5-10 points softer reading than is correct. Thus, Shore D Scale should not be used for wheels in the useful skate wheel range.

Exploring ways of emulating snowboarding and surfing on land, Loaded began as a passion (obsession?) in the mid 90s. We scavenged Krypto Classics, Krypto 85s, Bones Hardcore wheels, every new-fangled truck we could find, and retrofitted every piece of wood or old snowboard we came across with trucks and wheels. The decision to start a company occurred in September of 2000 following a series of serendipitous events. After much trial and error with all kinds of materials and production methods, we launched our first board, The Vanguard, in June 2002.
As with everything, it all comes down to people. We've worked hard to build a tight knit crew of diverse and unique individuals who share a common passion for getting weird and who have collective synergies. In the emblematic neighborhood of Poblenou, just a few minutes from the sea and the Mar Bella Skatepark, Venero is born. Located on the ground floor of a building from the 1900s, the high doors and glass showcase of a place that is more than just a skate shop stand out even more.
The concept of Venero is to combine an exhibition of selected products in an industrial design environment, bringing together the elements that characterize urban fashion and skateboarding: wood, metal and concrete.
In our exhibition space, in addition to fashion brands such as Stüssy, Herschel, Stance, Brixton, Nixon, Fjallraven, Thrasher, Rip N Dip, there are two mini chill-areas, a workshop zone and an outdoor patio with vertical garden for the sunniest days.
The large selection of skate hard material presents brands such as Madness, Welcome, Polar, Palace, Primitive in addition to the well-known Santa Cruz, Enjoi, Almost, Darkstar, Blind, Independent, Venture, Thunder, Spitfire, Tensor and Bones.
